Good News travels EAST
The Good News of Forgiveness and Salvation entered the Indian subcontinent through the disciple Thomas. He was a devout follower who was willing to follow Jesus even to death! His desire to spread of news of Jesus sacrifice for the sins of mankind took him the farthest of the first-generation disciples. He travelled to the distant parts of the 1st century world - the distant lands of the East including Persia, the Indus valley and the southern parts of today’s India.
His passion was ignited by his encounter with the LORD who conquered death and was alive in a glorified body. Likely, he witnessed the ascension of the Lord Jesus, taken into heaven.
Anyone who hears this news, believes in the saving power of the name of JESUS, would be forgiven of their sins and be accepted by the Judge and Sovereign of the Universe, in this age and in the AGE TO COME! This is called 'Eternal Life'.
This resulted in many coming to hear the testimony of this faithful disciple.
Those who were genuinely believed found Peace with God and Joy in living. With this new life of radical change, and full assurance of salvation of their souls. Additionally, they were assured of resurrection of their mortal bodies when JESUS returns to earth at the end of this age. They in turn passed on the GOOD NEWS of the Savior who was sent from GOD. Faith in the finished ‘Work of Salvation’ in place of religious practices, pilgrimages, penances and worship rituals.
The communities of the Faithful believers have persisted to this day and number in the millions of Jesus followers the land of that is now India. They are from a diverse spectrum of religions, cultures and language backgrounds.

Everything Has Its Time
What profit has the worker from that in which he labors?
I have seen the God-given task with which the sons of men are to be occupied.
He has made everything beautiful in its time.
Also He has put eternity in their hearts,
except that no one can find out the work that
God does from beginning to end.
I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice,
and to do good in their lives, and also that
every man should eat and drink and enjoy
the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God.
I know that whatever God does,
It shall be forever.
Nothing can be added to it,
And nothing taken from it.
God does it, that men should fear before Him.
